Frequently Asked Questions for Members

 

I want to be a member of The AAE - but don't need the use of a webpage / booking system.

No problem. You are be able to select exactly what you wish to display online.

 

I’m in a duo / band  will each of us receive the AAE Black Card?

Sorry no. You will need to nominate one band member as the named card-holder.

 

I have more than one  act / show,  do I need to pay for membership to each?

We have a nominal extra fee of £10 per additional show performed by the same individual person / group. The act / show must be completely different in order to qualify. For example - If you perform  as a tribute act, that would be one but if additionally you perform under your own name that would qualify as another. This will entitle you to an extra web page with all of the same features and each of your additional acts will feature independently under the relevant search categories. You will only receive one AAE Black card. If you would like to set this up you will have the option during sign-up.

 

Apart from my membership fee are there any other fees when receiving bookings via the AAE website?

No. None whatsoever. We are not an agency. The integrated online booking platform is a free addition for members.

 

Can I pay monthly?

No sorry. As soon as your application is approved you will be enrolled for 12 months from the date of approval. We invest a lot of resources in each member therefore the minimum term for membership is 12 months and paid in advance.

 

Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes you can as long as we receive a request in writing, you must  include your unique membership number. We are unable to refund on the balance however.

 

When will I receive my welcome pack?

We aim to process all applications within 48 working hours. As soon as your application is approved, your welcome pack will be sent out to you via tracked delivery. Although usually sooner, please allow up to 14 working days following acceptance. To avoid delay, please ensure to provide supporting evidence when / where requested. 

 

Does the AAE arbitrate in the event of dispute?

All members have free access to the AAE online booking system. You will have complete control regarding the terms of that agreement. Once electronically signed by both parties, each is bound to the terms and a contract is officially agreed. The AAE is not an agency, does not negotiate fees or terms. In the event of dispute the document suite can be accessed for further assistance. In more complex cases you are entitled to free legal advice from a team of specialist (entertainment solicitors) please refer to  'downloads' and news for full info.

How many showreels / photos can I upload to my AAE web page? 

Up to 3 showreels and 6 photographic images. Wehen uploading your showreels simply copy and paste the full YouTube link.
